How do you get kids to Eat Right?

Safeway Supermarkets and Warner Bros.’ Looney Tunes teamed up to create Eating Right Kids™, a product line of more than 100 “better-for-you” food and beverage items for children.

Safeway then partnered with Scholastic, where I worked as Art Director, to educate students and their parents about the benefits of developing good eating and exercise habits.

Packaging

Safeway knows that customers sometimes struggle to decode ingredient panels. That’s why each Eating Right Kids™ package features the color-coded Spot Your Needs System™ right on the front where customers can find important nutritional information in seconds.

Safeway knows that customers sometimes struggle to decode ingredient panels. That’s why each Eating Right Kids™ package features the color-coded Spot Your Needs System™ right on the front where customers can find important nutritional information in seconds.

Color-coded ‘spots’ helped customers quickly identify (or spot) the nutritional benefits of each product.

I designed a mobile app with a built-in scan feature to identify the color-coded ‘spots’ on every package.
